Crypto Culture Wars

Why meme coins are bad for the industry!

It’s sad that 9/10 of the top weekly movers are garbage meme coins (at time of writing).

I know, I know “meme culture is all about fun and building community”. Which I can understand to an extent. However, meme coining is dangerous. Not only because of the potential and likelihood of losing all your money, but due to the negative perception it creates, and worse, justifies in the eyes of “no-coiners”.

This in turn, creates an overall negative image of the industry as a whole. And we can’t allow meme-coin culture to outweigh and overshadow the importance of promoting fundamental knowledge and development!

The vast majority of meme coins are useless tokens with ungodly amounts in token supply. OG’s and influencers who genuinely care about building a flourishing crypto community should be warning people to stay away… Not buying in and promoting this garbage!

Shame on any OG’s and influencers who care more about pumping their bags than educating the masses.

The majority of meme coiners have no understanding of #tokenomics and don’t realize they’re nothing more than exit liquidity for the early investors!

It’s literally a pyramid scheme.

But, but… “All of crypto is basically a giant pyramid scheme.”

NO, IT’S NOT!

Many projects, past and present, are genuinely trying to build real tools and provide real solutions to everyday problems.

Of course, some will and have failed, and yes, some ARE outright scams… But the solutions ARE REAL and provide us with the greatest opportunity to create a #fair, #just, and #decentralized global society…

#Bitcoin and #Crypto are the tools we need to fix our broken system! But so too can they be the tools for #authoritarians to create an inescapable #dystopia!

Why do you think the banksters, media, and politicians spent years trying to stifle #Bitcoin’s growth? From limiting people’s accessibility, to generating FUD with relentless misinformation… All in the name of “protecting us”?

Because they want to control it! They want to keep people unaware of its true potential!

Yet here we are, on the verge of an economic renaissance with #Bitcoin and #Crypto leading the way.

But don’t be fooled. The powers that be are plotting and scheming behind the scenes waiting patiently for their opportunity to pounce… and #MemeCoins are probably their favorite narrative.

Why? … Because:

1- They can front load tons of money.

2- Get the masses to #fomo in.

3- Then dump, making millions.

4- More importantly, these pump and dumps will be used to support restrictive regulations.

5- Salty investors who got burned and “crypto ignorant” citizens who know nothing about the innovative potential of blockchain technology will blindly support these regulations.

Game over!

Though I do genuinely believe the #CryptoRevolution is unstoppable, it can, will, and has already been severely delayed… Personally, I’d like to experience the joys of progress in my lifetime, as opposed to constantly fearing the potential consequences of mass ignorance and stupidity.

That’s why the driving force behind building community should be educating the masses; not profiting off their ignorance! That’s also why I’m not a fan of meme culture… To me, meme coins are basically just widely accepted scams and will lead to an over-regulation of the crypto industry.

Once the market matures and the masses are educated, informed, and actively participating in #decentralized #governance, then, and only then, will I be able to accept meme coining as being “just for fun”.

Until then, our primary goal should be the intellectual adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain technology. We are in the midst of an economic paradigm shift and on the verge of a political revolution… Don’t be left behind! Choose the side of freedom and innovation.
